مذكره باللغه العربيه عن الغازات الطبيه ( 2 )

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Medical gas systems are essential for supplying piped oxygen, nitrous oxide, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and medical air within hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Gases are frequently used in different hospital settings for sterilizing, synthesizing or insulating processes that greatly benefit patients. Medical gases are also used as gas therapy for patients to inhale.

Uses of Medical Gas Systems

Pharmacological gases, which are used in hospital settings, are carefully monitored by both legislation and industrial standards so that they don’t disturb the human physiology. They are manufactured as pure compounds that are then filtered to the finest quality possible. The uses of each gas determine its production and distribution. Some of the common uses for medical gases around the hospital are:
  • As a therapy, anesthesia, drug, or remedy to an ailment
  • As atmosphere inside the hospital environment which can be tightly regulated
  • As a pneumatic power source for dental and surgical tools and equipment
  • As an analytical agent to calibrate devices, or get results out of various diagnostic tests
  • As a major component in the manufacturing of medicines
  • As an insulating agent, a sterilizing agent, or even in synthesis
  • As an important life sustaining gas
  • Certain medical gases are essential to normal patient breathing

Medical Gas Systems are Highly Monitored

Medical Gas systems used in hospitals and health care facilities are strictly controlled. More than 225 standards are available through the HIS Global Standards Store for Medical gas systems and pharmaceutical gases. As medical gases are considered a form of drug, they are only available with prescription’s and are strictly controlled by the country’s pharmacological oversight agency.
In the US, the task of handling medical gases falls under the care of the United States Pharmacopeia and National Formulary whose recommendations are legally enforced by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA’s Compressed Medical Gas guidelines, and Manufacturing Guidelines for Medical Gases ensure the safety of patients, and safe use and handling of medical gas systems.
There are also other manufacturers and healthcare trade associations that have established some standards of their own, such as the Compressed Gas Association’s M-1, Standards for Medical Gas Supply Systems at Healthcare Facilities, and the British Compressed Gases Association’s assorted standards on the handling and use of compressed gases.
